The Mountain Butler, LLC (we, us, or our) provides a pre-arrival grocery and lifestyle concierge service for vacation rentals in and around Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect the information you provide when you place an order or contact us, including your name, email address, phone number, the delivery address for your rental, access or arrival details, your shopping list and preferences, and your order history. When you check out, your payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our systems. We also collect basic, non-identifying technical information automatically, such as your device type and the pages you visit, to keep the site working and secure.
How we use your information
- To shop for, fulfill, and deliver your order.
- To communicate with you about your order and provide support.
- To process payments and authorization holds.
- To improve our service and website.
- To send you updates or offers, if you have asked to receive them.
- To prevent fraud and keep our service secure.

We share your information only as needed to run our service:
- With the local shoppers and delivery staff who fulfill your order.

- With a property manager, if your order is placed through one of our property manager partners.
- When required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers, or our staff.
- In connection with a business sale or transfer.
We do not sell your personal information.
Text messages
We only text a number when the person it belongs to has given it to us and asked us to. That happens in one of three ways: you tick the optional box at checkout, which starts out unticked; you tick the same box on our partner sign-up form; or you tell us so on a phone call, which we write down along with the date. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of placing an order or becoming a partner, and we never text a number we obtained from anywhere other than you.
The messages are about your order: the delivery window, a question when something on your list is out of stock and we need to know what to swap it for, and a note once the delivery is done. Expect a few messages per order, and no marketing. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Reply STOP to any message to stop them at any time, or HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services — for example the text-message provider that carries our messages — is permitted solely so that those messages can be delivered to you. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent is never shared with any third party.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar tools to remember your cart, keep you signed in where applicable, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our service, complete your orders, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Your choices and rights
