Our story

We're your neighbors in Pagosa Springs

A long drive into the mountains shouldn’t end at a grocery store.
So we have your cabin stocked and ready before you walk in.

Life in the mountains around Pagosa Springs

Hikers reaching the top of a rocky mountain peak under a clear blue sky
Trailheads ten minutes from the cabin
A skier in a red jacket carving through deep powder snow
First chair at Wolf Creek
Friends relaxing around a campfire at a forest campsite at dusk
Evenings end around the fire
Two hikers on a summit looking out over a valley dotted with lakes
You take the summit — we'll take the groceries
Our values

What we’re all about

Our vision

We started The Mountain Butler after one too many vacations that began with a grocery run instead of a deep breath. We wanted arriving at a mountain cabin to feel like coming home — the fridge full, the coffee ready, and nothing left on the to-do list. So we built exactly that, shopped by hand from the Pagosa Springs stores we grew up with.

We also believe the place that welcomes your family should take care of its own. That’s why giving is built into the business: ten percent of our profits go to food-access programs across Archuleta County, so every order you place helps stock a neighbor’s pantry, too.
